The Galaxy S22 has received a March update from Samsung in the US
Samsung has released the March update for the Galaxy S22 series in the US. The 2022 flagship lineup joins the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23 and the last two generations of foldable Galaxy devices. The company will update more devices in the coming weeks.
Here's What We Know
For now, the update is only available for Galaxy S22 carrier models in the US. Specifically, the update is available for Verizon network users. But the new software version for the S22 will soon be available for other US carriers as well as for unlocked versions of the devices. International versions of the phones should also get the update within the next few days.
The March update for the Galaxy S22 lineup in the US comes with firmware build number S90*USQS4DXBG. The official changelist indicates that it's only about this month's security fixes, according to Verizon's page.
The new version of the software fixes 46 vulnerabilities. 9 of them are security patches from Samsung and 37 Android patches from Google.
To check for the new software, you need to go to Settings, then Software Update and click Download and Install.
