The second part of Batman with Pattinson has been postponed for a year: the premiere is scheduled for 2 October 2026
Matt Reeves' Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, received a lot of praise from critics and audiences and grossed almost $800 million, so a sequel was obvious. The sequel was expected to premiere in 2025, but fans will have to wait even longer.
Here's What We Know
Now Batman 2 will be released on 2 October 2026. The postponement was caused by the delay in script development during the strikes in Hollywood in 2023, according to TheWrap.
However, viewers will still be able to return to Reeves' Batman universe in 2025, as this year the The Penguin series, which is a spin-off of the Batman film, will continue filming in December, telling the story of the villain's formation. The Penguin, like in the Batman film, will be played by Colin Farrell. There will be 8 episodes in total, and the premiere will take place on the Max streaming service.
