Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Vampyr are in the same universe - Don't Nod director confirms
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden was released in February 2024 and became the largest game by Don't Nod. At the same time, players noticed some similarities with Vampyr, another game by the studio. And this similarity is not only in the genre or open world, it is much more interesting.
Here's What We Know
WhatIfGamin media talked to Stéphane Beauverger, narrative director of Don't Nod, about Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. And when asked whether Banishers is considered to be a spiritual successor to Vampyr, Stéphane answered:
"Here is a secret: the two games actually take place in the same universe. And the most aware players may find some evidence of that, in a few cues, items or readables in the game. For instance, Charles Davenport’s brooch looks a lot like the symbol of the Brotherhood of St Paul’s Stole from Vampyr".
Now I wonder if this story will have any continuation if the authors decided to make their two games in the same universe.
Where To Play
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
