Microsoft launches Copilot for Security on a pay-as-you-use basis

On 1 April, Microsoft will launch a dedicated chatbot for cybersecurity professionals - Copilot for Security.
Here's What We Know
Unlike Copilot for Microsoft 365, which is offered on a monthly subscription basis, Copilot for Security will operate on a pay-per-use model. Businesses will have to pay $4 for every hour they use the chatbot.
Copilot for Security, based on OpenAI's GPT-4 and Microsoft's own security-focused model, is designed to help cybersecurity professionals. It will be able to provide up-to-date information on incidents and threats and produce summaries based on data analysis.
Among the features of Copilot for Security are access to 78 trillion daily threat alerts collected by Microsoft, a collaboration section for employees, summarisation of events for reports, code and file analysis for natural language queries. All queries will be logged for auditing.
Microsoft says the pay-per-use model will allow enterprises to flexibly scale the use of AI in cybersecurity without a large upfront investment. Companies will be able to start on a small scale, experiment and explore the capabilities of Copilot for Security.
