90 million players in 20 years: Ubisoft boasted about the success of the Far Cry franchise and announced a special broadcast

One of the most popular shooter series - Far Cry - turns 20 years old next week.

The first part of the franchise, which was a real technical breakthrough, was released on 23 March 2004.

Here's What We Know

Ubisoft has shared a beautiful achievement - over 90 million people have played Far Cry games in twenty years!

In honour of the anniversary the French developer will hold a special stream, where there will be no announcements - Ubisoft warned about it at once. Most likely, the viewers will be told interesting stories about the development of different parts of the franchise and share some behind-the-scenes details.

During 10 days all parts of Far Cry will be discounted up to 85% - the action is provided for all platforms on which the shooters were released.

Viewers of Far Cry streams on Twitch will receive in-game bonuses for a limited time, but you'll need to link your Steam account to do so.
