'The Crow' remake: The first trailer for the upcoming adaptation has been unveiled
Considering the audience's love for 1994's "The Crow" starring Brandon Lee, we can guess how much fans are looking forward to the upcoming reboot of the iconic film. And to further excite interest in the project, Lionsgate showed us a new trailer.
Here's What We Know
It's hard to know if the new adaptation of James O'Barr's The Crow will achieve the same popularity as other comic book adaptations like Superman or Batman, but the original film attracted audiences in particular because of the tragic death of Brandon Lee, who was fatally wounded during filming. The actor died in March 1993 from an accidental bullet during the filming of one of the scenes. Work on the film was suspended for several weeks. In the end it was decided to complete it, and the missing scenes to finish shooting with the participation of a double. The film was not released until 1994.
The Crow reboot stars Bill Skarsgård and singer FKA Twigs as Eric and Shelly, respectively, and we get a glimpse of them in action in the latest trailer:
Here's What The Movie Is About
In the original plot, gangsters attack and kill Shelly, Eric Draven's fiancée, who has been actively resisting the mob. In an attempt to protect his beloved, Eric is also killed. However, the raven, who transports souls to the world of the dead, is just: he brings Eric back to life so that he can avenge these crimes.
When We Can Expect It
The new The Crow will be released on 7 June 2024.
