X-Men's James Marsden has commented on rumours of his Cyclops cameo in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine
As usual, there are many rumours surrounding "Deadpool & Wolverine" and the most frequent one is the appearance of characters from the X-Men world, including Cyclops by James Marsden. The actor who played Scott Summers (aka Cyclops) decided to finally comment on the matter, especially after he was spotted near where the film is set.
Here's What We Know
It's worth noting that Marsden just recently finished filming on "Sonic The Hedgehog 3," which took place near the set of "Deadpool," but still, the actor prefers to remain intrigued and elude discussions about returning to the role of Cyclops:
"I keep hearing about that. I can't walk down the street without someone asking me so evidently, there's a lot of chatter about that. It'd be fun. [...] We just wrapped [Sonic 3] actually. We were near the Deadpool stages up there in Pinewood actually. [..] Yeat, this is a little bit of a Pandora's box.".
The X-Men cameo intrigue was initially fuelled by the fact that Hugh Jackman returned to the role of Wolverine in "Deadpool," although it was speculated that he said goodbye to the role in 2017's "Logan."
Also, in fact, the trailer has already confirmed the appearance of another X-Men character, Aaron Stanford as Pyro, who first appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand, so it's not at all surprising that rumours of other characters pop up from time to time.
When We Can Expect It
"Deadpool & Wolverine" comes out on 25 July 2024. We won't have long to wait before we find out if all these rumours will be dispelled or confirmed.
