The Xperia 1 VI is rumoured to get rid of two things that make Sony phones unique

Sony Xperia smartphones have long had their own style and for a long time these smartphones featured a display that had a 21:9 aspect ratio, which was perfect for film buffs and those who appreciated a more elongated screen. But according to rumours, Sony is gearing up for a dramatic change in the design of its smartphones.

According to a leak from Zackbuks on Weibo, the new Sony Xperia 1 VI looks like it will be more traditional in design. That is, the company may be ditching its traditional 21:9 aspect ratio in favour of a more standard 19.5:9. This move may disappoint some fans who prefer a more elongated aspect ratio, but it could be a strategic move by Sony to appeal to a wider audience.

In addition, the leak also mentions that the company may reduce the screen resolution from 4K to 2K. Nevertheless, the overall design of the phone will be similar to its predecessor.

Earlier, it was reported that all three cameras on the back of the Xperia 1 VI will feature 48-megapixel Exmor T sensors and that the smartphone will be available in 12GB and 16GB RAM configurations.

Sony is also rumoured to be planning to include the world's first digital signature technology in the camera in its next-generation Xperia smartphones. This feature will allow users to digitally sign photos right in the smartphone, ensuring their authenticity and preventing tampering.
