Microsoft will hold an event on artificial intelligence ahead of Build 2024
On 20 May, Microsoft will hold an event dedicated to artificial intelligence. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will speak about the company's vision for AI in hardware and software. The event will be open only to journalists present at the venue.
Here's What We Know
The event is focused on Surface hardware and AI-related changes to Windows. The consumer versions of the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will also be unveiled. These devices will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite processors and include NPU hardware to accelerate AI tasks in Windows 11.
Microsoft is also working on a new AI Explorer feature for Windows 11. It's designed to work as a timeline through which you can search on your PC.
The May 20 event includes Microsoft's AI initiatives, including Copilot. Microsoft has launched Copilot Pro subscription for $20 a month, which allows users to access the latest OpenAI patterns in Microsoft Office applications.
Microsoft Build starts on Tuesday, May 21 and runs until May 22. There, Microsoft will share updates on "AI, Copilots and more." The event will take place both directly in Seattle and online.
