Insider: Pixel 8a will get a 6.2-inch display with 120Hz support and a Tensor G3 chip
Insider and dataminer @Za_Raczke has shared new details about the Google Pixel 8a smartphone.
Here's What We Know
According to the leak, the novelty will get a larger display from 6.1 to 6.2 inches. It will still be an AMOLED-matrix, but it will get support for refresh rates up to 120 Hz. In comparison, the Pixel 7a supports a maximum of 90Hz. The panel will have a maximum brightness of 1400 nits (when displaying HDR content). Two companies will be supplying the displays for the Pixel 8a: BOE and Samsung.
The smartphone should run under the Tensor G3 processor. In addition, the novelty will get support for DisplayPort, which will allow through the USB-C connector to display the picture on a monitor or TV. As for the cameras, they will be the same as the Pixel 8: dual main 64 MP + 13 MP and single frontal 13 MP.
When We Can Expect It
The Pixel 8a should be released during the Google I/O 2024 conference, which will be held in May. According to an insider, the smartphone will be available in 31 countries. In comparison, the Pixel 7a is now available in 21 countries.
