Samsung ranked number one in the research and innovation ranking
Samsung Electronics has been ranked number one in the world for research and innovation in 2024, according to the "Top 100 Global Innovators 2024" list from analyst firm Clarivate.

Samsung Electronics is ahead of companies such as Canon, Honda, Toyota and Seiko Epson. According to Clarivate, 18 companies retained their "Top 100 Global Innovators" status, including Samsung Electronics, Honda, Toyota, GE, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba, Ericsson, Qualcomm, Dow, Fujitsu, Boeing, Shin-Etsu Chemical, Honeywell, NEC and Roche. Three companies returned to the list: Tencent, Daikin Industries and Zeiss. Two new companies achieved Top 100 status: Coretronic and Disco.
Clarivate notes that by country, Japan is the largest contributor to the list, with 38 organisations from the region. The US, Taiwan, South Korea, South Korea and China are ranked second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively, with 17, 11, eight and five companies from these countries. By continent, Asia is the largest contributor to the list, accounting for 62 organisations on the list. Europe is next on the list with 21 companies from that region.
