Here's What We Know
According to them, some enterprise customers have recently received demos of GPT-5 and related updates to ChatGPT. One customer with access to it said the new model is "significantly better" than the previous version.
OpenAI demonstrated GPT-5 with use cases and data specific to that customer's company. He also talked about some yet-to-be-announced features of the model, including the ability to call AI agents to perform tasks autonomously.
According to sources, Sam Altman's team at OpenAI has not yet decided on an exact launch date for the new model. Currently, GPT-5 is still undergoing final training.
Once this process is complete, additional security tests of the model will be conducted internally before public release.
