Rumour: Samsung will only equip its top-end Galaxy S Ultra and Galaxy Fold with Snapdragon processors in the future

Recently we wrote that Samsung might be equipping most of its smartphones with its own Exynos chips. Rumours on this topic continue to appear and here is another insider reported information that this is likely to be the case.

Here's What We Know

Korean insider @OreXda published in his Twitter an interesting post, which shows a table of the main lines of Samsung smartphones, as well as what processors they will be equipped with in the future. The informant suggests that most models will be equipped with Exynos processors, including the Galaxy Flip. And only the top-end solutions Galaxy S Ultra and Galaxy Fold will get Snapdragon processors.

It was previously reported that Samsung wants to expand the use of its Exynos processors due to the allegedly high financial cost of buying Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors. Samsung is also planning to use some solutions from Mediatek for its budget devices.

Perhaps the decision to more actively implement their chips in future smartphones was influenced by positive reviews of the Exynos 2400 processor, which is installed in the Galaxy S24 smartphones. This solution looks noticeably better than its predecessor Exynos 2200. Samsung also reports that it will continue to invest in the development of its chips to make them even more competitive.
