Honor 200 Lite's certification in UAE hints at an imminent launch
According to fresh certifications, it looks like Honor is preparing new smartphones for the global market. Honor, which launched the Honor 100 series last year, now seems to be working on an updated version of the series.
Here's What We Know
The new certification from the UAE suggests that the Honor 200 Lite will be launched soon. Last year, the Honor 100 series consisted of only two models: the standard and the Pro. However, this time we will see not two but three models as the certification is for the new Lite version.
The Honor 200 Lite with model number LLY-NX1 has been certified by TRDA (Telecommunications and Digital Regulatory Authority) in the United Arab Emirates. The certification doesn't reveal anything other than the name and model number of the device. So there is still no information about the specifications of the device yet. We hope to see the device soon, as is usually the case after certification.
It's worth noting that the previous Honor 100 series, which debuted in China last year in November 2023, didn't have a Lite model, only regular and Pro variants. It was aimed at the high-end smartphone market.
The Honor 100 series smartphones featured 1.5K resolution OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate. The phones used Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processors in the regular version and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Pro version. Both the phones feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS. Also, the regular version uses a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, while the Pro has an additional 32MP telephoto lens. Additionally, both phones have a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging, while the Pro also has wireless charging.
