Samsung releases March security update for Galaxy A51 5G in the US

Samsung has already updated most of its smartphones and tablets with the new security update for March 2024. But some devices were still waiting for the fresh update and here is the Galaxy A51 5G has also started updating to the new software version.

Here's What We Know

Samsung has released a security patch that fixes 45 security issues, for the carrier and unlocked variants of the Galaxy A51 5G in the US, which have model numbers SM-A516U and SM-A516U1 respectively. The software update, which contains a new security update for March, changes the firmware version for the carrier-locked variant to A516USQSEGXC3 and the non-operator-locked variant to A516U1UESCGXC3.

The Galaxy A51 5G is on a biannual security update schedule. Right now, the smartphone is running One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13 and will not be able to get One UI 6.0 based on Android 14.
