New Snapchat feature: AI Bitmoji displays your pet

This new feature, called AI Bitmoji, allows users to take photos of their four-legged friends and create cartoon avatars to accompany their Bitmoji on Snap Map.

The interface helps users choose from several image options generated by artificial intelligence after sharing a photo of their pet. This new feature creates cartoon avatars that look like your pet. However, they can be customised in less detail than regular Bitmoji for humans.

"AI Bitmoji is the latest addition to Snapchat+, the company's paid subscription service. Since its debut in 2022, Snapchat+ has been testing various generative AI features, such as the MyAI assistant and camera functions, which create innovative photos and videos. With more than 7 million subscribers, Snapchat+ makes up a significant portion of the company's paid services.

Additionally, Snapchat has released an update for owners who do not subscribe to the paid service. The updates include new template features for editing video clips, new swipe-based gestures for quick snapshots, and support for uploading longer videos to Stories and Spotlight. Filming in the app can now last up to three minutes, and users can upload videos up to five minutes long.
