New iPad mini 7: Improvements to display, performance and more
The next generation iPad mini is rumoured to have several significant updates.
Here's What We Know
One of the key changes will be an improved display designed to address the scrolling problem that characterises the current model. Apple has changed the way the screen is folded to reduce this defect.
In addition, performance is expected to improve through the use of the A16 Bionic chip, which will provide a moderate speed increase over the previous generation. There will also be updates to other components, including support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The new iPad mini 7 will be available in new colours and may also have an updated camera. The device will be presented later this year, but no specific dates have been set yet.
Apple is probably considering the use of more advanced OLED displays for the iPad mini, but this may only become a reality in the following years.
