The authors of the indie hit Dredge donated $100,000 to the NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust in honour of the game's first anniversary
It seemed like yesterday, but it's been a year since the release of Dredge , an adventure game by New Zealand-based Black Salt Games that is inspired by the works of Lovecraft. The game received 8 points from players and critics, and in honour of the first anniversary, the authors shared some news.
Here's What We Know
Black Salt Games has transferred $100 000 to the NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust so that it can continue its research and conservation efforts. The authors also noted that such a donation would not have been possible without the players who played Dredge.
At the same time, the game's anniversary trailer and some player statistics were published. For example, more than 100,000 fish of all kinds have been caught. The boat has been fully upgraded more than 500,000 times, and the world has been saved another 250,000 times.
Where To Play
Dredge is available on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
