The development of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden took 4 to 5 years to develop, but it's not a AAA game
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden was released in February 2024 and became the biggest game by Don't Nod. In March, it became known that the game is set in the same universe as Vampyr. Now, one of the authors has spoken about the development period of the project and finally explained that Banishers is not a AAA game.
Here's What We Know
MP1ST media talked to Stéphane Beauverger, narrative director at Don't Nod, about Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
Stéphane said that the studio spent 4 to 5 years on the full development of the game.
And if you thought that Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an AAA game, it is not. The narrative director said that it is a well-made AA game, and the studio is proud of it. The authors had the desire and passion to give the audience a great experience, hence the large map size and the huge amount of content. In Banishers Don't Nod, they felt that it was necessary to open up the world and allow players to explore the secrets of New Eden at their own pace and in the order they prefer.
Where To Play
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
