The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will last 2 hours and 25 minutes - a record for the franchise

The Planet of the Apes franchise, which centres on the theme of intelligent apes dominating humans, began with a novel by French writer Pierre Boulle published in 1963. However, the younger generation is probably more familiar with the franchise thanks to the film trilogy directed by Matt Reeves. Already in May, we will see a new part, made by Wes Ball, and it will be the longest.

Here's What We Know

Collider reports that Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will last 145 minutes (2 hours and 25 minutes). The first film of the new trilogy was 105 minutes long, and the next two films were 130 minutes long. So the audience will be able to watch the biggest film in the franchise.

When We Can Expect It

The premiere of The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for 9 May 2024.
