Galaxy S23 users report fingerprint issues after One UI 6.1 update
Samsung Galaxy S23 users have been experiencing fingerprint issues after updating to One UI 6.1. According to user reports on Reddit, the fingerprint icon sometimes fails to appear on the Galaxy S23 screen after the update. Moreover, when this happens, the fingerprint recognition doesn't work.
Here's What We Know
To get the scanner to work, users have to lift their fingers and wait for the icon to appear. Then the fingerprint scanner works normally. This problem seems to be quite common. Similar issues have been reported by dozens of Galaxy S23 users on Reddit, including Galaxy S23 FE users.
As far as we know, the imprint bug doesn't show up often, but it's annoying according to user reactions. The company has also updated the Galaxy Fold 5, Galaxy Flip 5 and the Galaxy Tab S9 series to One UI 6.1, but there have been no reports of fingerprint issues from users of these devices.
There have also been reports claiming that the phone's charging speed has become limited to 15W after the update, resulting in longer charging times for the device. Some users also claim that the phone heats up more than before.
Whether Samsung is aware of the problems and is already preparing an update with fixes - we'll see soon.
