Expert RAW update adds auto mode for ND filter in Galaxy S23 and Fold 5 series
Samsung is expanding the camera capabilities in the Galaxy S23 and Fold 5 series of smartphones by adding new options for ND filter in the Expert RAW app.
Here's What We Know
The new feature in Expert RAW was reported by a whistleblower @theonecid on social network X. Previously, the ND filter only supported manual mode, which could cause difficulties for beginners. Now, however, with the Expert RAW update, users get an automatic mode for the ND filter. This will help users who are new to the ND filter to find the optimal filter intensity faster.

Power users familiar with the manual settings of the ND filter can continue to use the slider to manually select its intensity. The ND filter, or neutral density filter, is used by professional photographers to reduce the amount of light hitting the camera sensor. This allows them to adjust exposure and shutter speed to avoid overexposure, slow down clouds or water, reduce depth of field and preserve more colour and detail in bright areas of a scene. This feature is often used in landscape and nature photography.
