DC Studios' "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" will be directed by "Cruella" director
It looks like DC Studios has finally decided who they will entrust with one of their highly anticipated Supergirl projects, based on Tom King and Bilquis Evely's popular comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The choice was made by "Cruella" and "I Tonya" director Craig Gillespie.
Here's What We Know
Unlike the director, the actress for the lead role was determined earlier this year. She was the star of the first season of "House of the Dragon" Milly Alcock.
By the way, information about the appointment of Gillespie, co-director of DC Studios, James Gunn, has not yet commented, but introducing the audience Alcock as the future Supergirl, Gunn said that he is fascinated by her talent, which he noticed thanks to "House of the Dragon".
Supergirl is also reportedly scheduled to begin filming in late 2024, after "Superman" is completed. Ana Nogueira will write the screenplay for the film.
When We Can Expect It
At this time, "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" does not have an official release date.
