Following OPPO Find X7: Honor Magic 6 flagships will get 5.5G network support

Recently, we wrote that OPPO Find X7 and OPPO Find X7 Ultra were the first smartphones on the market to support 5.5G network. As it turns out, Honor smartphones will also get it soon.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the flagship line of devices Honor Magic 6. This was revealed in Weibo by Jiang Hairong, marketing director of Honor. Support for 5.5G in the company's smartphones will appear with a software update. The firmware will be released a little later this year.

Flashback

5.5G (aka 5G-Advanced) is an enhanced 5G network that is now being rolled out in China by operator China Mobile. It is distinguished from the existing fifth-generation network by increased data reception and transmission speeds, as well as reduced signal latency. 5.5G provides download speeds of up to 10Gbps and upload speeds of up to 10Gbps.
