The Star Wars: Tales of the Empire series has received its first trailer and release date
Star Wars shared the first trailer of the new anthology series "Tales of the Empire", which marked the project's release date.
Here's What We Know
"Tales of the Empire" is created by Dave Filoni and is a sequel to "Tales" and an addition to 2022's "Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi" focusing on the two main characters, Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku. The series has been praised for developing an important backstory for these characters, which is also intertwined with many other characters and storylines from the "Star Wars" universe.
Judging by the fact that Tales of the Empire's main characters will be the Sisters of the Night, Throne's ally Morgan Elsbeth (from The Mandalorian and Ahsoka) and former Jedi apprentice Barris Offy (from the Clone Wars animated series), the project is looking to achieve the same success as Tales of the Jedi.
Series Overview
"Tales of the Empire" is a six-episode journey through the brutal Galactic Empire centred around two warriors whose paths separate. In doing so, they each have their own struggles in different time periods. Having lost everything, young Morgan Elsbeth is on a path of revenge in a world where the Empire continues to expand, while former Jedi Barris Offy struggles to survive in a rapidly changing galaxy. Their fate depends on the choices they make along the way.
The characters are voiced by Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Meredith Salenger as Barris Offy, Rya Kihlstedt as Lin, also known as the Fourth Sister, Wing T. Chao. Wing T. Chao as Wing, Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn, Jason Isaacs as the Grand Inquisitor, and Matthew Wood as General Grievous.
When We Can Expect It
All six episodes are released exclusively on Disney+ on Star Wars Day, 4 May.
