Samsung adds new Magnetic Lasso feature to its inbuilt photo editor

Samsung has updated its Object Eraser tool with a new Magnetic Lasso feature. This feature allows you to more accurately highlight unwanted objects that you want to remove from your photos.

Here's What We Know

This new feature is included in the latest update to the Samsung Photo Editor app (v3.4.21.43) and provides increased accuracy in removing objects. Previously, Object Eraser offered two limited methods for selecting and deleting objects: automatic object detection and manual stroke. Automatic object detection often lacked accuracy, and manual selection was difficult to perform accurately on a touch screen. In the photo below, you can see the selection of objects without Magnetic Lasso enabled, and with Magnetic Lasso enabled.

Magnetic Lasso makes it easier to select objects. Users can draw a rough stroke around the object they want to remove. Once the stroke is complete, the selection automatically adjusts to the edges of the object, ensuring an accurate selection.

If this feature isn't available to you yet, check the Galaxy Store for an update to the Photo Editor app.
