YouTube is testing a new website design
YouTube is testing a new design for its website that has caused discontent among users.
Here's What We Know
As part of this test, the video description and comments have been moved to the sidebar, and where there used to be a description, there are now video recommendations. The most unexpected change was the relocation of the video title to the sidebar, resulting in a lack of clear separation between the recommendations and the video being viewed.
Recommendations are now located in the sidebar, while the title, description and comments are below the video. Users have been extremely negative about the new design, with some even noting that it makes YouTube's site resemble other video content sites. However, YouTube has confirmed that this is still only a test and given the feedback, it is unlikely that this design will be finalised. Users can leave their feedback on the new design on YouTube's website.
