President Ross and the new Captain America: official photos from Captain America: Brave New World
After the first footage from Captain America: Brave New World was shown at CinemaCon, Marvel Studios let it go online via Entertainment Weekly.
Here's What We've Seen
In the first image, we see Anthony Mackie, in regular clothes but with his shield.
The second image shows Sam Wilson in his new Captain America costume having a conversation with President Thunderbolt Ross, played by Harrison Ford.
In addition to Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, the film will also star newcomer Shira Haas as Sabra.
Tim Blake Nelson will also return to the role of Samuel Stearns, aka The Leader, from The Incredible Hulk, appearing alongside Liv Tyler as Betsy Ross; both have not appeared in a Marvel Studios film since 2008.
Speaking with EW, the film's star, Anthony Mackie, noted that "Captain America: Brave New World" surpasses the Disney+ series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" by a dozen times. He emphasised that it's not just "Part 2" of the series, but a standalone work in its own right. Maki talked about the key discussions that took place during the development of "Captain America 4," with the main focus being to create a unique story and characters for the film.
"This movie is a clear reset. It really reestablishes the idea of what this universe is and what this universe is going to be" Maki said. "I think with these movies, you're getting a clear, new branding of what Marvel is headed towards the same way they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.".
When We Can Expect It
Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to premiere on 14 February 2025.
