The Crytek and Ubisoft veteran has joined IO Interactive to work on an ambitious James Bond action game
Danish studio IO Interactive - the author of Hitman and Kane & Lynch franchises - announced that an experienced developer has joined its team to work on an ambitious James Bond action game.
Here's What We Know
Rodrigo Santoro, who has extensive experience at Crytek and Ubisoft, has taken the position of mission director in Project 007.
His portfolio includes such famous games as:
- Crysis 2 and 3 (level designer),
- Ryse: Son of Rome (level designer),
- Tom Clancy's The Division 1 and 2 (lead level designer),
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (open world director).
Rodrigo Santoro does not hide his joy to join the team and left the following comment on the IO Interactive page:
I am very excited to be a part of IOI! I admire the boldness with which the studio innovates and delivers memorable gaming experiences. This is especially valuable at a time when most companies are focused on producing sequels. Project 007 caught my eye the day it was announced, and I was incredibly lucky to join the team working on the game. I've had time to familiarise myself with the project, and something unique about it is already noticeable. Most importantly, every conversation I've had with the team members has made it clear to me - they are committed to releasing a colourful and unusual adventure. I can't wait to get to work and work with my colleagues to create the best Agent 007 game in the world.
Project 007 was announced back in 2020, but since then IO Interactive hasn't shared any details about the game, except that it will be a spectacular and dynamic spy action game with less freedom than Hitman, but with Hollywood-level production.
