Filming on the live-action film adaptation of the "Minecraft" game has finally wrapped up
Eight years after the first announcement of the film based on the video game "Minecraft", the shooting of the game film has been completed. This was announced by Jason Momoa, publishing a selection of photos from the set in his Instagram.

"MINECRAFT WE ARE WRAPPING All my aloha to my crew and cast. Unbelievable movie experience truly one of the greatest times of my life. Too many laughs. I love this country. AOTEAROA New Zealand you are magical. Mahalo for letting me film here." Momoa wrote under the carousel of snaps.
Based on the popular video game, the "Minecraft" movie was initially slated for release on 24 May 2019 under director Rob McElhenney. The project was then handed over to Peter Sollet, director of "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," and the script was given to Allison Schroder, author of "Hidden Figures." Both eventually left the project.
The film is now being directed by Jared Hess, creator of Napoleon Dynamite.
Here's What The Movie Is About
Plot details have not been revealed yet.
It is known that the main character of the game - Steve, will play Jack Black. In addition to him and Momoa in the film involves Kate McKinnon, Jemaine Clement, Emma Myers, Daniel Brooks (Daniele Brooks), Sebastion Eugene Hansen and Jennifer Coolidge.
When We Can Expect It
The Minecraft movie will be released on 4 April 2025.
