Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has started receiving the April security update in Europe

Samsung continues to steadily update its smartphones with the latest security patches and now a fresh update is available for the first model in the Fan Edition series, the Galaxy S20 FE.

Here's What We Know

The update is available in Europe for the Snapdragon-based Galaxy S20 FE models and has build numbers G780GXXS9EXC6 and G781BXXSAHXC6 for LTE and 5G variants respectively.

The Galaxy S20 FE is so far the only model in the entire Galaxy S20 series that is still receiving monthly security updates. The Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra flagships have already switched to quarterly updates as their promised 4-year update period has already ended. The S20 FE is also likely to join the older models with quarterly updates as early as October, as it will also run out of its guaranteed 4-year update period this month.
