Sea of Thieves is crowded, with developers reporting that more than 40 million people have played the game
Shortly before the release of the popular pirate co-operative action game Sea of Thieves on PlayStation 5, Rare Studios has revealed how many pirates are plying the seas.
Here's What We Know
Since the release of Sea of Thieves in 2018, more than 40 million people have experienced the game. This number includes PC and Xbox users, among them subscribers of the Game Pass service, where the game is available for free.
The developers thanked everyone who enjoys diving into the world of their game and noted that although they have already released more than a hundred free updates, a huge amount of new exciting content awaits gamers ahead.
Recall that Sea of Thieves, which since its release has been a console exclusive for Xbox, will be released on PlayStation 5 on 30 April and is sure to attract many more pirates and adventurers. It is the success (or failure) of Sea of Thieves that will determine Valdur's Gate will continue without Larian Studios: Hasbro is already looking for developers of new games in the cult franchise to competitors ' devices.
