A comedy animated series based on Golden Axe from the creators of Rick and Morty and American Dad has been announced
Fans of the once iconic Golden Axe franchise haven't received a quality game in years. Recall, the last instalment of Golden Axe was 2008's Beast Rider and it disappointed fans.
Sega seemed to have forgotten about the existence of the series, but last year the Japanese developer announced a "new era" for its old franchises.
It was stated that reboots of Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Golden Axe and Crazy Taxi, as well as several unnamed franchises, were in development, and that the total cost of the "new era" would reach a billion dollars.
Updated games have yet to be released, but the surprise announcement of an animated series based on Golden Axe was a surprise.
