A dream that could become a reality: World of Warcraft producer doesn't rule out releasing the game on Xbox consoles
Right after Microsoft outlined its intentions to buy Activision Blizzard, rumours of World of Warcraft coming to Xbox consoles began to spread online.
At first it seemed fantastic, as few people understood how to adapt such a game for console control. But some time ago, the franchise's executive producer Holly Longdale confirmed that Blizzard is discussing porting WoW to Xbox.
It seems that the American developer is still considering such a possibility.
Here's What We Know
At a press event for the soon-to-be-released The War Within addon for World of Warcraft Holly Longdale reiterated that "Blizzard still dreams of porting the MMORPG to Xbox".
But for now it's just a dream, as the studio is focused on releasing new content for World of Warcraft, which should not disappoint the loyal fans, but in the future the company may return to this issue and approach it more purposefully.
