Rumour: Apple is preparing the next generation of iPad Air with a mini LED display
The next generation iPad Air will be available in two sizes, similar to the iPad Pro line. These rumours are confirmed by insider information from Ross Young, a consultant at Display Supply Chain Consultants.
Here's What We Know
The upcoming larger iPad Air variant will reportedly use Mini LED technology for its display, similar to the current generation iPad Pro. This will provide improved image quality, lower power consumption, and better brightness for HDR content compared to current iPad Air models.
It is believed that Apple may use the leftover mini LED panels developed for the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro to produce future iPad Air models. This could help reduce the price of the devices, especially given the company's recent unfavourable tablet sales.
The official presentation of the new iPad Air models will take place next month, along with the updated iPad tablets.
