Google Wallet for Wear OS, the popular payment system, may undergo significant security changes. According to recent reports, users will be required to enter a PIN before making a one-touch transaction.
Here's What We Know
Until now, Wear OS consumers have not been required to enter a PIN before paying with Google Wallet. The process usually involved opening the app on the watch and simply tapping.
It is known that the new feature could not be reproduced on several transactions with the Pixel Watch 2. This could be either a testing phase or a software-related issue.
There is no information yet on how this change will affect users and what personalisation options will be available.
