Rumour: Samsung will ditch ISOCELL sensors in Galaxy S25/S25+ and use Sony sensors

New details about the flagship Galaxy S25 line of smartphones continue to appear on the Internet.

Here's What We Know

This time insider @TheGalox_ revealed that the Korean manufacturer will stop using ISOCELL sensors in the flagship Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ models. Instead of the proprietary sensor, the smartphones will be equipped with Sony modules. It is not yet known which ones.

As for the top-of-the-line Galaxy S25 Ulta model, it could still get an ISOCELL sensor. Also if previous rumours are to be believed, the base models of the lineup should be powered by an Exynos processor. Galaxy S25 Ulta, in turn, will get a Qualcomm chip. In addition, all three new products will be equipped with improved AI features.

When We Can Expect It

Expect the release of Galaxy S25 flagships this year is not worth waiting for. Novelties are likely to show in early 2025.
