The Czech YouTube channel Indian - Pořad o hrách hosted a podcast with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 lead designer Prokop Jirsa.
Of course, the game designer did not reveal all the secrets of the expected game, but shared a few interesting theses.
The developer said that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will complete the story of Henry of Skalica. Probably, if ever a third part of the game will be released - its protagonist will be another character.
Prokop Jirsa confirmed that the events of the second part will start right after the finale of Kingdom Come: Deliverance and will be a logical continuation of the first game, but the story will be easily understood by those who did not pass the game in 2018.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the developers left most of the mechanics of the first game, but significantly improved each of them, and some elements were slightly simplified to make them more interesting and fully unlock their potential. For example, there will be four directions of weapon strikes in combat instead of five, but the developers added more combinations of blows, block variations and other actions, making the combat system even more complex and realistic.
The introduction of firearms in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will also greatly diversify gameplay. Prokop mentioned that one of the quests will be completely tied to the theme of firearms.
The social aspect of the game has also changed: if the player commits crimes, he will be punished and stigmatised, which will make the inhabitants wary of Indřich and not want to deal with him. You can get rid of the stigma with treatment.
The sequel will also feature the famous "Saving Schnapps", thanks to which you can save the game without waiting for autosave or resting on the bed.
When We Can Expect It
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is expected to release in late 2204 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
