Rumour: Huawei Nova 13 will get Kirin 9010 processor and satellite connectivity
Huawei, which recently launched its Pura 70 series of smartphones, is now focusing on its Nova 13 series. According to leaks from whistleblower Smart Pikachu, all Nova 13 phones will support 5G connectivity, which is notable as some models in the Nova 12 series, such as the basic Nova 12 SE, are limited to 4G.
Here's What We Know
While the exact processor for the Nova 13 remains unknown, a whistleblower suggests that it could use the new Kirin 9010 chip that debuted with the recent Huawei Pura 70 series smartphones. The Nova 13 series is expected to feature a curved display with 1.5K resolution.
Camera details are still unknown, but the insider hints at the possibility of a rear camera with a periscopic lens and support for variable aperture. It is also reported that the new series of smartphones will focus on improving selfies, including the presence of dual front cameras.
There are also rumours that the Nova 13 series smartphones will support Beidou two-way satellite communication technology. This feature will allow users to send and receive messages via Beidou satellites, even in areas without terrestrial network coverage.
The Huawei Nova 13 series of smartphones is expected to be unveiled in the second quarter of 2024.
