Chromecast with Google TV 4K is getting a new version soon

Google is working on a new TV set-top box.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the second generation Chromecast with Google TV with 4K support. This was reported by our colleagues from 9to5Google.

The novelty will be released four years after the release of the original model. Presumably, the device will run on a new Amlogic S905X5 processor. It is built on a 6-nanometre process and supports AV1. In addition, the gadget should come with a new remote control. Its image appeared in the Android TV 14 Beta code.

When We Can Expect It

Most likely, the release of the new version of Chromecast with Google TV 4K will take place in May at the Google I/O 2024 conference.
