Aito, the Huawei-backed car brand, has released a new update to its popular M5 SUV. Since its debut in July 2023, the Aito M5 has undergone significant changes, especially in the area of assisted driving technology.
Here's What We Know
One of the main additions to all configurations is Huawei's advanced assisted driving system, which is now standard equipment.
Huawei-backed Aito has unveiled an update to its M5 SUV that includes the EREV option. The vehicle is available in three variants: one BEV and two EREV. Prices remain unchanged, starting at 249,800 yuan (32,100 euros) for the basic BEV variant and up to 279,800 yuan (36,000 euros) for the extended EREV versions.
The BEV version of the car is equipped with an 83 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, which allows it to cover up to 602 km according to the CLTC. Meanwhile, the two EREVs use 42 kWh batteries and can travel between 230 and 255 km, depending on the version. A full petrol tank adds an additional 1,275-1,440 km of range, making the car an ideal choice for long-distance travel.
The updated Aito M5 will be available from 15 May.
