Wacom outpaces Apple with its first OLED tablet, the Movink 13
Wacom is ahead of Apple with its first OLED tablet, the Movink 13. This ultra-thin device promises advanced colour reproduction and consistent image quality, great mobility and innovative features for artists and designers.
Here's What We Know
This tablet features a 13.3-inch Samsung display that delivers Full HD resolution with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. Its image-enhancing features include support for the full DCI-P3 colour gamut and Pantone standards, enabling accurate reproduction of a wide range of colours.
The new tablet is also thin at just 4 mm and weighs just 420 grams. This makes it 66% thinner and 55% lighter than the previous Wacom One 13 Touch. Unlike other devices, the Movink has no backlight, which avoids excessive heat and light leakage, and ensures sharp images thanks to its anti-reflective coating.
The gadget can be easily set up using a USB-C port and supports the latest versions of Windows, macOS, Android and ChromeOS operating systems. The tablet also features a button for quick access to functions.
The Movink comes with a Wacom Pro Pen 3 stylus with tip holder, as well as support for other Wacom and third-party styluses.
The Movink by Wacom will be available from 27 May for $750 USD.
Will this tablet outperform Apple's upcoming OLED iPad? A question that remains open.
