Fitbit․com store closes, replaced by Google Store
The Fitbit.com online store is shutting down and its functions are being transferred to the Google Store following the recent brand change to "Google Fitbit".
Here's What We Know
After Fitbit became part of Google, their store closed and their products are now sold on the Google Store. The product pages on fitbit.com now direct visitors to the Google Store with a "Buy from Google Store" button.
The message explains to users that Fitbit is now part of Google, so all payment and purchase transactions will be completed in the Google Store.
In March, Google expanded its range of smartwatches and tracker accessories, including straps, charging cables, and Aria Air scales. In addition, the Watches & Trackers landing page was updated.
In January, Fitbit already moved its help centre to Google's infrastructure.
It is noted that earlier this week, a bug on fitbit.com related to a blank Fitbit dashboard was fixed.
