Disney has unveiled the trailer for "Mufasa: The Lion King," a prequel to the famous "Lion King" film
All those who have been waiting for the first images get ready! The trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King has been released and it tells the story of Mufasa and Scar's young years.
What We Have Seen
The lead roles in "Mufasa: The Lion King" are played by Aaron Pierre as Mufasa and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taki. The film will also feature beloved characters Timon, Pumbaa and Rafiq, who are once again voiced by actors from the 2019 version - Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and John Kani respectively.
The new film was directed by Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, known for his work on films such as Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk.
Jenkins took on the project because of his close connection to the characters in "Lion King." He believes the new film will help audiences understand the process of becoming great kings through a series of events that everyone can relate to in life.
When We Can Expect It
"Mufasa: The Lion King" is scheduled to premiere on December 20.
