Vivo X100s introduces new AI-powered Four Seasons Portrait feature

Vivo is gearing up to launch new X100 models in May, including the Vivo X100s, X100s Pro and X100 Ultra. The Vivo X100s is attracting particular attention right now, having recently demonstrated strong performance results in benchmarks, and now promises to bring a new feature called Four Seasons Portrait to the smartphone market. This feature uses artificial intelligence to create the background of photos according to the chosen season.

Vivo's product manager, Han Boxiao, demonstrated the capabilities of the new AI feature called "Four Seasons Portrait". It intelligently saves the basic elements of a photo, such as the subject, generates images of scenes from the four seasons and incorporates them into the background. The user can select spring, summer, autumn or winter to create the background of the image. A Vivo representative demonstrated how the feature works. This feature is optimised to create the light and shadow of the portrait according to the selected season. At first glance, the photos look very realistic.

As for the Vivo X100s itself, it is expected with a flat display, which is a change from the curved design of the original Vivo X100. The device is also equipped with Dimensity 9300+, which promises better performance and AI improvements. The camera will still get the ZEISS branding and it looks like it too will bring more AI features to the camera. The new Vivo X100 range is expected to go on sale in May.
