YouTube TV introduces Multiview feature for Android phones and tablets
Following its successful launch on iOS last month, Multiview on YouTube TV is now available on Android devices.
Here's What We Know
The feature allows users to watch up to four live streams at once. The feature first appeared on smart TVs and streaming devices in March 2023, and was expanded to iOS devices a year later. Now, Google is announcing the launch of Multiview on Android.
The option does not require powerful hardware on the user's device, as all processing takes place on YouTube's servers. Multiview can be found on the Home tab of the YouTube TV app on Android, where users can select the streams they want to watch simultaneously.
Note that Multiview is mainly limited to sports content.
How To Switch It On
In order to use Multiview, users should make sure they are using the latest version of the YouTube TV Android app (8.17).
