Kaspersky develops weapons for the Russian army

Russian tech company Kaspersky Lab is helping the Russian army develop reconnaissance and attack drones.

The team of Ukrainian activists CyberResistance and the volunteer community InformNapalm managed to seize more than 100 GB of classified data from the Russian company Albatros. The company is engaged in the development of UAVs for the Russian military, including localised Iranian Shahed-136.

The materials revealed that this company cooperates with the Kaspersky Lab giant in the development of drones. For example, Kaspersky's software is being implemented in military technology, and they helped the Russian army develop a neural network for unmanned systems.

Part of the presentation will focus on the implementation of machine vision functionality using the neural network, which automated the process of searching, selecting and tracking detected targets. The machine vision system created in cooperation with Kaspersky Lab was integrated into the Albatross M5 reconnaissance drone.

Despite the fact that Kaspersky Lab is involved in the development of weapons, they still claim that their work is limited to products "exclusively for civilian use".
