Google Pixel 8a will retain the price of its predecessor, the Pixel 7a

In light of recent leaks, it has been revealed that Google's new Pixel 8a smartphone will cost the same as its predecessor, the Pixel 7a. According to this data, the starting price of the Pixel 8a for the 128GB model will be $499. It was previously reported that the new model will cost more. However, this has not been confirmed.

Here's What We Know

Insider @OnLeaks, along with SmartPrix portal, has shared a few more promotional renders of the Pixel 8a. The phone is shown in all three shades and from different angles, but without revealing any new information. The main feature of the report is the expected price of the Pixel 8a in the US: it is claimed that the 128GB model will cost $499, the same as the previous model. It seems Google is also planning to release a 256GB version for $559, which would be a welcome change considering the lack of such an option over the past two years.

The smartphone will feature an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Tensor G3 processor, and a larger 4,500mAh battery for longer battery life. The Pixel 8a will also emphasise artificial intelligence features such as Circle to Search, Live Translate and Audio Magic Eraser.

The Pixel 8a is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
