The Batman: Arkham series will have a new game - Shadow, but it will be exclusive to Meta Quest 3 VR glasses
Batman Arkham. I have so many pleasant memories of this series of games about the Dark Knight. The last part was released in 2015 (let's not take into account the fact that Suicide Squad is a continuation of this story). And now, finally, a new game in the series has been announced, but there is one big nuance.
Here's What We Know
Camouflaj studio, which is known for such games as Iron-Man VR and Republique VR, is developing Batman: Arkham Shadow. The game will be exclusive (at least for some time) to Meta Quest 3 VR glasses.
The game's trailer was also published. It doesn't show the gameplay, but it shows a gloomy Gotham (as if it could be otherwise) and Batman himself flying through the city's alleys.
Meta has not yet announced who will voice Batman. Kevin Conroy, the actor who voiced Batman in the Arkham series, died in 2022, but he still managed to voice Batman in Suicide Squad.
It should be reminded that in 2016, Rocksteady released Batman: Arkham VR on PSVR and then ported the game to other VR headsets, so Shadow will be the second VR game in the series.
When We Can Expect It
Batman: Arkham Shadow will be released later this year. More details will be revealed during Summer Game Fest on 7 June.
