Huawei launches the Pura 70 series of smartphones in Europe

Huawei had earlier introduced the revamped, flagship Pura 70 series in its native Chinese market. Now the company has announced the launch of the new range in the global market as well. This series includes three models, the Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Ultra. Today, these three models are available for pre-order in different regions including Europe. The only model missing is the Pura 70 Pro+, which will remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

Here's What We Know

The Huawei Pura 70 base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage costs €999. The Pura 70 Pro model with the same amount of storage will cost €1,199. The most expensive model in the series, the Pura 70 Ultra, costs €1,499. This model is equipped with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.

Huawei has not specified which colour variants will be available in the global market. However, judging from the images provided by the company, the Pura 70 and Pura 70 Pro models will be available in black and white colours. The Ultra model will be available in black, green and brown colours. The Ultra model is the only one that has eco-leather on the back panel.

Huawei Pura 70 Pro

While Huawei has launched the Pura 70 series with Harmony OS 4.2 in China, the global version comes with EMUI 14.2. The devices have several AI-enabled features including gesture control powered by Generative AI technology. It is noted that the international versions of these smartphones will not support Beidou satellite calls and messages, a feature that is exclusive to the Chinese market.

Huawei Pura 70 Ultra

All three Pura 70 models are equipped with the new Kirin 9010 chipset manufactured on a 7nm SMIC process. The main focus of the Pura 70 series is on the rear camera, housed inside a distinctive triangular island. More details about the smartphones can be found in our separate piece.

Pre-orders for all three models are already open in some European countries, and the start of official sales is scheduled for 22 May.
